Electrical

Electrical

The Electrical program teaches students the technical knowledge and skills to build and repair all things electrical, from the home to commercial and industrial buildings. If you are passionate about electronics, and want your education to include hands-on building, installing and repairing electronics, and are excited by things like circuit diagrams for building systems, this is the program of study for you. Our courses include math and science of electronics, plus electrical wiring codes, blueprint reading, sketching and other subjects essential for professionals in the industry.

Our students are taught the knowledge and skills necessary for entering the workforce as an electrician or building maintenance supervisor, to prepare for a postsecondary degree in a specified field of construction or construction management or pursue an approved apprenticeship program. Students will acquire knowledge and skills in safety, electrical theory, tools, codes, installation of electrical equipment, and the reading of electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
