Students in blended learning will have the opportunity to return for in-person instruction beginning tomorrow.

    Group A: Tuesday and Wednesday

    Group B: Thursday and Friday

All students MUST have consent to take part in on site COVID testing. Students may pick up forms today and bring in their completed forms on the first day they return. Parents may also print out the form (English version and Spanish version) and have their son/daughter return it to school or provide consent through their NYC Schools Account.

Parents who wish to have their son/daughter's learning preference change from remote only to in-person should email their child's guidance counselor. The opt-in window for high school has not been announced, but we may be able to make changes that can go into effect following Spring Recess.

  • NYC Student Accounts: Have you Signed up?

Greetings Bronx Design Parent or Guardian,

A NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) is a web-based application that lets you see your child’s academic and biographic information on any computer, phone, or tablet. The application is translated into nine languages other than English. In the account, you can see a child’s: Attendance, Grades, Assessments (test scores), Health information (Fitnessgram), Schedule, Guardians, Enrollment history, Promotion Tracker, Graduation Tracker, Reading Level, and Transportation information.

FYI, during this time, when schools are not physically in session, the Human Resources Administration (HRA) will no longer require or ask for “face-to-face” letters as evidence of family composition letters from families who are applying for Cash Assistance (CA) or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). If another agency such as the Social Security Administration, or a Tax Preparer requires proof of enrollment or proof of address, a parent/guardian can navigate to the “Details” dropdown in the mystudent.nyc account and take a screenshot or print the the “Student” page to present as proof that the student lives at the address and print or take a screenshot of the “Enrollment” page to present as proof of the student’s current attendance/enrollment in the school. The easiest way for parents to access their child’s records is by registering for a  New York City Schools Account (NYCSA) by visiting mystudent.nyc. You will need an access code letter to create a mystudent.nyc account which I've attached to this email.

  • Marking Period 1 Grades

Marking Period 1 Grades are available online via NYC Schools account and report cards have been mailed out.

Any student who earned an NX means that they did not meet the course requirements. It is not too late to improve on the grades. Students who earned an NX for the first marking period will need to work very hard during Marking Period 2 and 3 to ensure a passing grade for the term (semester), which ends on January 29, 2021.

If you have any questions about a grade, please contact your child's teachers via email. You will find email addresses by visiting the Faculty and Staff Directory.

Our guidance counselors and Single Shepherds are also available to assist families in providing academic support.
